Second Trimester Pregnancy


It is second trimester of your pregnancy and you're showing! Everyone will now know about the good news. This is the time that your body has adjusted towards the change and you have stopped feeling nauseous. You are exercising and you are eating healthy. You have decided how you will look after the baby after the birth and you have decided the doctor and hospital. You are perfectly moving forward with the pregnancy.

Here are some tips and tricks that you must follow once you cross first trimester pregnancy and enter into the second one:

Exercise:

You might felt nauseous while exercising during the first trimester or maybe felt too tired but the good news is that you are going through it. Physical exercises or movement is really important for baby’s development. Walking 10 miles a day is sufficient. These light and moderate exercises will make your baby healthier and smarter. They remove all the stressful hormones that you might be facing during this time period. Physical activities dramatically decrease the pushing time that you have to go through when in labor.  It makes that phase less painful. 30 minutes of light exercises like yoga helps pregnant women to have normal delivery as compared to those pregnant women who are inactive during this stage.

Baby Bond:

Once the baby is born, she will recognize your voice and find it soothing.  If you have stayed calmer during your pregnancy, your baby will be calmer and less colicky. Regardless of the baby gender, you will naturally feel closer to the baby once you take time to make peace with it and be okay with whatever the gender of the baby will be. You can feel a natural emotional bond with the baby once you find out that you are pregnant. You must nurture those feelings and continue to love the baby inside you.

Spouse Bond:

Once the baby comes, you and your partner will renegotiate your lives. Your relationship is bound to grow with the basis of trust, affection and nurturing. Did you know that after the baby’s birth, the level of happiness between a couple decreases as it is related to sleep deprivation?  Factors such as work load, depression and social isolation also affect the marital life. You must discuss these issues with your partner in advance to keep your marriage happy and protected.

Pamper Yourself:

Use the 9 months to bond with your baby and your partner, but in this phase, do not forget to treat yourself. However, you must know what to do and what not to do during regarding pregnancy beauty. Sleep as much as you can and always stay active in order to keep yourself sane and your mind, body and soul replenished.

Prepare Siblings:

If this isn’t your first pregnancy, then you must prepare the siblings too with the birth of the new born baby. Refer to the newborn as your sister or your brother instead of our baby. You do not want to make them feel left out displaced.
